HALIFAX, NS – Progressive Conservative leader Jamie Baillie wants to know whether Stephen McNeil cancelled this week’s cabinet meeting to attend Justin Trudeau’s “Holiday Party.”
The Prime Minister is set to host a holiday gathering this evening. Coincidentally, Stephen McNeil has skipped town.
“At a time when Nova Scotians are worried about the cost of living, jobs, and the turmoil in our schools, Stephen McNeil should be here, not partying in Ottawa,” said Baillie.
Questions are already swirling about Premier McNeil’s repeated absences from cabinet. Just last week, he failed to show up for the emergency session of the Legislation that his own government called.
Baillie wants Stephen McNeil to confirm today whether he’s attending Trudeau’s Holiday party.
“I sincerely hope Stephen McNeil did not cancel cabinet to attend the Liberal holiday party,” said Baillie. “If he did, then he is putting Liberal party business ahead of the people’s business.”
